Mount Carmel Academy , a registered California private school, was established in 2009 and strives to provide an individualized education for every student that is solidly based in the foundations of mathematical reasoning, critical thinking and  rhetorical skills. We utilize time tested methods of language, math and logic instruction while implementing the latest technology to our student's advantage.  Our curriculum meets and exceeds state standards while catering to the needs of our students. Our goal is mastery, not simply passing the test.

At Mount Carmel, we believe that families are the core of our student's learning experience and as such, hold an important place in our program.  Our goal is to prepare students for whatever their future holds and to challenge them to strive for their personal best.

COVID-19 and Schooling:  The majority of our programs have transitioned to online only.  All of our families have been extremely pleased with how we have implemented this by using pods to make sure each student receives individual attention. Some pods will meet in person.

We have had many inquires regarding new enrollments during this time as we understand parents are concerned about sending their child to a brick and mortar school or are unhappy with how distance learning has been implemented in their current school.

For those parents, we are offering a program for 6th-12th grade that combines distance learning with teacher oversight that does not require that students spend hours in front of a camera. Rather it uses a time-tested software for students to complete their assigned coursework. Teachers monitor work progress and communicate with both parents and students via email and online messaging.
